Utah 211 is a program of United Way of Salt Lake which connects community members to local non-profits, government organizations, and more to help them receive basic needs assistance. The 10,000 services that are in the Utah 211 database include rental assistance, nearby food pantry information, and affordable healthcare support. Through research done by United Way of Salt Lake, we knew that many local community members had fear/distrust of reaching out to organizations that were perceived as government entities. Through user research, we learned that most people in our community, even those who could benefit from 211's program, were unaware of their services.
